The Arcachon basin is home to many leisure parks, most of which are located in Gujan-Mestras.

Aqualand - Gujan-Mestras

Aqualand in Gujan-Mestras is the largest water park on the Atlantic coast. It has 13 attractions to suit all ages, including a lagoon pool with sliding zones, vertiginous installations for the brave, and relaxation areas. There are also several restaurants on site for convivial breaks.

Bassin Aventure _ Gujan-Mestras

Bassin Aventure is the largest tree climbing park in Gironde. Accessible from the age of 3, with no age limit, it features over 250 original games and 26 courses of increasing difficulty. Wakeboard, snowboard, boat, long jump, Tarzan jump, monkey bridge, tyrolean traverse, bikes, scooters, Ninja Run, Giant Catapult, Quick Jump, Orienteering course... are just some of the activities on offer.

You can also try your hand at tree climbing at the escalad'parc in Andernos les bains, a friendly natural site set in the middle of a pine forest, with 10 courses to suit all tastes!

Water sports

Throughout the basin, qualified instructors will welcome you for all kinds of activities: rowing, canoeing, kayaking, canyoning, rafting, kitesurfing, surfing, water-skiing, boating, parasailing, towed buoys, jet-skiing, scuba diving - something for all water sports enthusiasts!

Activities in the air

If you would like to take to the skies and discover the breathtaking scenery and wild environment of the Arcachon Basin, the aerodromes of La Teste de Buch and Andernos les Bains are the perfect places to enjoy a magical moment.  Both associations offer first flights and flight training. From the sky, you'll be able to see oyster beds, shades of blue on the ocean, vast stretches of sand and pine forests... Morning, evening, high tide, or low tide, the colours are never the same.

For even more thrills, you can also take a first skydiving experience from the La Teste de Buch aerodrome. The Arcachon basin is a dream spot for skydiving. The whole experience lasts 15 minutes, with a free-fall jump at over 200km/h. This club also offers disabled jumps.

If you're apprehensive about free-falling, a first flight in a paraglider over the Dune du Pilat could be the solution! You can even take home a video of your flight for a great souvenir! The flight lasts between 20 and 25 minutes and is divided into three parts: a walk, instruction and sensations, which you can obviously adapt according to your wishes.

Fun inland activities

The Arcachon Basin is a fisherman's paradise! At low tide, clams, cockles, and prawns are easy to spot, and depending on the season, the catches are never the same. In spring, you'll see bream, cuttlefish, sea bass and gilthead; in summer, gilthead bream, gilthead sea bass and coustuts; and in autumn, bream, gilthead bream, sea bass, gilthead sea bass and coustuts.

There are 6 golf courses in the region: Pizz'&golf in Biganos, Golf des aiguilles vertes in Lanton, Golf International de Gujan in Gujan-Mestras, Cap Golf in Lège Cap-Ferret and Golf International d'Arcachon in la Teste-de-buch. There are also 2 mini-golf courses: the Parc de Loisirs du Four mini-golf course in Lège-Cap-Ferret and the Max'golf course in Gujan-Mestras. You'll have plenty of choice for enjoying the great outdoors as you work out on the pond.

Otherwise, to free yourself from everyday worries and enjoy a moment of relaxation, treat yourself to one of the three casinos in the basin: the Miami casino in Andernos-les-Bains, the Lac de la Madeleine casino in Gujan-Mestras or the sublime Arcachon casino.
