A medieval chateau for rent

Located on the borders of the Périgord region between Charentes and Dordogne, this part-mediaeval, part-classical chateau adjoins the village in a superb natural and architectural setting. Benefiting from absolute privacy behind its high walls, it overlooks a variety of hilly and wooded landscapes. With its origins dating back to the 12th century, this family property has been gradually renovated over the years. The result is today a warm and friendly building full of charm and character including a number of more contemporary decorative features. Neither too large nor too small, this chateau would not be as warm and welcoming without the feminine touch of its two owners, who we can thank for its refined decor and outstanding hospitality.

The possible services

Situated near Angoulême (2h15 from Paris by TGV high-speed train), the chateau is a great place from which to explore Cognac, Périgueux or Royan. Upon request, visits can be organised to the Cognac cellars, or a visit including a tasting of Pineaux des Charentes from local producers. The services of a chef and activities for children can also be provided.

Charentes ou Dordogne can comfortably accommodate around four couples with children.

- A bedroom (15 m²) with a single bed 0.9 m), a mezzanine with a double bed 1.6 m, including a shower room shared with the previous bedroom.

Classical wing:

- A bedroom (30 m²) with a double bed (2 x 0.8 m side-by-side), en suite bathroom with shower and toilet

Medieval wing: 

- A suite comprising:
- A bedroom (30 m²) with a four-poster double bed 1.4 m, bathroom and toilet shared with the bedroom below
- A bedroom (18 m²) with two single beds (2 x 0.9 m)


Outdoors:
- A garden with private park of 3 hectares, with garden furniture
- 14 x 4.50 m outdoor heated swimming pool, secured by an alarm and a gate
