This holiday home in Catalonia offers you a full immersion into the region’s décor and lifestyle.
This villa offers a great and beautiful view. You can enjoy it everywhere; from the inside, from several outside patios, from the pool. It’s the perfect place to enjoy a change of scenery: the blue of the sea mixes with the blue of the Costa Brava sky and you will be the privileged spectator of this show from the heights of this property which overlooks the Mediterranean. Maritime pines and boats in the background complete this idyllic picture.
Rarer on this craggy coastline, this charming villa also overlooks the beach which you can reach on foot via a private access gate, a renowned and lively beach with a promenade, bars and restaurants, a sailing and diving club, the option of renting kayaks... It is surrounded by two small, more private coves, rocky inlets with crystal clear waters. The villa directly overlooks one of them. You can visit the one at the other end on foot. In fact, this area is the starting point for beautiful hikes along the coast. Coves, beaches, old fishing villages with white houses, all this creates the charm of the region and you’ll have a front row seat.
The architecture of this beautiful rental villa with a pool is a change of scenery all on its own. It demonstrates the typical style of Catalan country homes. On the outside, clay tile rooftops, white façade and stone walls covered with climbing plants, cast iron railings. Inside, you’ll find solid wooden beams, small but numerous openings to let in just the right amount of light while guarding against the heat, rounded archways and doors and windows. Catalan houses are warm houses. White is the dominate colour which provides light and gives the impression of space.
To connect with the surrounding nature, Catalan homes have central areas on all levels, covered terraces, patios...providing freshness, privacy and relaxation particularly during the famous Spanish “siesta” which is practically mandatory !
The villa is largely equipped with garden furniture, dining tables, lounges, etc. to be able to enjoy these different areas and the view over the bay at any time of day. The fifteen-metre long pool is surrounded by twelve deckchairs.
This charming rental in Costa Brava comfortably accommodates up to three families or five couples.
Important: the pool is not equipped with a security device as it is not required under Spanish law.
The house is not air-conditioned but the lower levers remain cool due to the thick stone walls. Upstairs, the bedrooms are equipped with ceiling fans.

When you think of Costa Brava, the first thing you think of is beaches, and as you can tell, you benefit from the perfect location for enjoying this with no restrictions, in particular when parking your car. You can get to three different beaches on foot which are very representative of Costa Brava beaches: sandy or pebble beach or cove, turquoise waters no matter where you are, restaurants nearby...
After the beaches, water sports take second place, mainly snorkelling or scuba diving. The depths are rich and they’re just a short walk away from your rental. Three natural reserves are open to divers: Cap de Creus, Formigues Islands, Medes Islands. Several fish species can be spotted (rays, tuna, catfish...) but also cuttlefish, octopus, red mullets, spider crabs, lobsters...
From this Mediterranean villa, you can easily try, and no doubt enjoy, the traditional regional cuisine: Bouillinade, famous Catalan bouillabaisse, Fideuada, paella with pasta, Sarsuela another type of bouillabaisse which is common all along the Spanish Mediterranean coast, Parrillada, a mix of grilled meats and fish, there are so many specialities to discover, not forgetting the famous tapas. A good number or renowned restaurants can be reached on foot.
All around, the old fishing villages are really worth a visit: Tamariu, Calella de Palafrugell and Llafranc five kilometres away, Palamos (15km)...The Bégur village is worth a detour as well as the medieval villages of Cruilles, La Bisbal d'Emporda, Monells, Peratallada, all around twnty kilometres inland from the villa.
Finally, further away, sixty kilometres away, Girona is a very historically and culturally rich town. Remnants of the past are everywhere: the old town, the Jewish district and its museum, religious buildings from different eras. The Girona cathedral for example is famous for its nave, the largest Gothic nave in the world. From the cathedral, a marked archaeological trail leads to all the important sites of the old town. There’s also the Sant Feliu basilica and many other sites and museums. Finally, there are many shops and restaurants like the Michelin starred restaurant El Celler de Can Roca.
