Panorama Bretagne is a lovely villa for rent near the beach, set in an excellent location with nothing but sweeping fields separating it from the sea. The beach is just 150 metres down the road and can be seen from the house. This holiday home is a modern take on the traditional Breton style, featuring honey coloured granite stone, a double-sloped slate roof, and a whitewashed façade graced with granite window surrounds - the hallmark of Brittany’s abodes.
The ground floor has an unusual yet welcoming layout that works well to create a bright and spacious open-plan area. It includes the living room and the dining room which have traditional granite walls and painted woodwork. Large panoramic windows let natural light flow in and offer a beautiful framed view of the sea and the living room has an authentic stone fireplace; perfect for curling up in comfort after a long walk along the coast or as the evening draws in. The kitchen has been entirely renovated and has a more modern feel to it, as does the brand-new TV lounge.
The first floor has five simple and functional bedrooms, with five doubles and a children's bedroom. The spacious 18 m² master bedroom has an en-suite bathroom, while most of the other bedrooms are more modest and have a small shower.
Outside, a sweeping lawn serves as another living space in its own right. There are two pretty terraces on either side of the house that can be used in different ways. One has a magnificent view of the bay and is perfect for relaxing and contemplating the horizon or whiling away the time chatting and laughing over coffee, a drink or a good meal, with the tranquil Breton coast in the background. The other terrace is located at the back of the house and is more sheltered from the wind. It’s a great place for children play safely as it is a closed garden.
The nearby village is three kilometres away and you can walk to it by following the coastal path. It is a lively spot and has the shops, services, shops and restaurants you might need, with the holiday atmosphere of a seaside resort.
This Brittany cottage to rent can comfortably accommodate one or two families or two to three couples.

Fill up on fresh air! Enjoy the many beaches in the area such as Les Sables Blancs, Fond de la Baie and Moulin de la Rive or go for scenic hikes along the coast. The Sentier des Douaniers, or smuggler’s path runs along the length of rocky cliffs and immense beaches.
This region is packed with beautiful villages and bustling towns that ooze the character so typical of Brittany. Here are some of our favourites.
Locquirec is a quaint little seaside village with a white sandy beach. With its little harbour, crystal clear waters, rocky coastline, a hearty selection of creperies and cafes and a vibrant atmosphere set off against the sound of the seagulls circling overhead, this is picture-perfect Brittany!
Lannion is a pretty, historic town that is 20 kilometres away. Stroll through the cobbled streets, admire charming half-timbered and slate houses, and take in a plentiful array of churches, chapels and manors. From the old town, you can follow a walk that will take you to the flower-lined staircase of Brélévenez and to the church, at the top of the hill of Crec’h Tanet.
Trégastel is a small village and seaside resort on Brittany’s picturesque “pink granite” coast. This ancient town is steeped in history and has architectural sites to prove it, with megalithic monuments at almost every turn. Visit covered alleys, menhirs, the Gallic stele stone formations and religious buildings.
Morlaix is a beautiful town in Finistère where magnificent 16th-century residences have been carefully preserved, earning the town the official title of an Arts and History region. Morlaix’s majestic viaduct is the iconic emblem of the town, a superb railway bridge and architectural feat which proudly presides over the old town and the harbour.
The Pink Granite Coast is abundant with history, beautiful scenery and friendly locals. It is dotted with blocks of granite of various shapes and shades and stretches over ten kilometres. If you are looking for a spot of rugged, unspoiled wilderness away from the throngs of tourists, then you are in the right place.
Batz island can be accessed by boat from Roscoff (15 minutes crossing) or Locquirec (2.5 hours crossing) and is a haven of escapism. Explore the local fauna, flora, heritage and people, who are sure to make you feel right at home.
Choose from surfing, bodyboarding, paddle boarding, windsurfing, dinghy, catamaran, canoeing or diving. Whatever floats your boat, the nautical club near your villa will be happy to help. Head to nearby Pleumeur-Bodou for a family day out at the Vivons Perchés adventure park which has 180 treetop challenges and adventures to choose from. The same village is also home to Le Village Gaulois, a magical leisure park that will whisk you away, entertain you and ensure you have fun while learning. A great day out for all the family.
Enjoy the local food and drink. The food in Brittany is like the people; unfussy, down-to-earth and authentic. Don’t leave with savouring a galette, a delicious savoury buckwheat pancake, or its sweet counterpart the crepe; tasting exquisite freshly-caught scallops and oysters, sinking your teeth into the crisp casing of a butter-laden kouign-amann cake, enjoying anything made with salted butter caramel, and trying a slice of far, the local prune flan. Wash it all down with a refreshing cup of chilled cider or a buckwheat whisky. Brittany has a wealth of locally produced cakes, crepes, seafood and beverages that are sure to please palates of all ages.

Fiona M. (Paris), 24/08/2023
August 2023 / One week stay: "We spent a week at Panorama Bretagne in early August 2023. We were 5 adults and 2 children and there was plenty of room for us all to spread out very comfortably. The house has the most amazing views and is only about 10 minutes walk to the beach. We walked into town quite often too - a nice 30 minute walk to lovely shops and restaurants. The house is attractive and very well equipped. We had a great holiday and I would recommend the house and the area without reservation."
