Entre Loire et Vendée is an atypical rental both in terms of style and location.
This property has a total surface of 750 m², made up of two connected buildings which date back to 1780 and 1900.
From the outside, its Italian-inspired architecture sets it apart, with its square tower, tall arched windows and decorative brickwork. Much of the property has been refurbished with some secondary rooms still to be upgraded.
The interior, however, is distinctly French. The large living room has mouldings and semi-panelled walls, exposed ceiling beams, old parquet flooring and a grand piano. The adjoining billiards room is a similar style, decorated in soft blue hues.
The 16-person dining room is somewhat more contemporary and also has a fireplace, while the modern and functional kitchen has been entirely refurbished. It has everything you need to self cater and can also be used as a more relaxed dining area.
Two staircases lead upstairs to the bedrooms.
On the first floor, a large hallway leads to six bedrooms. The design is simple, inviting and functional, ideal for a large family. There are eight bedrooms and seven bathrooms in the main building, which makes this holiday property good for groups. A separate annex house near the pool provides another double bedroom and bathroom and doubles up as a pool house with a fully-fitted kitchen for easy lunches and snacks. Two of the bedrooms in the main house have three or four single beds. Children and teens will love the dormitory atmosphere!
Entre Loire et Vendée provides the perfect setting for your big family holiday in France where memories will be made and cherished forever!
Guests of all ages and generations will be in their element here, with on-site activities that will keep everybody happy. The heated swimming pool surrounded by stone walls and a railed enclosure is not only pretty but also ensures peace of mind in terms of safety.
There is a table tennis outside and a French billiards table inside.
There is also a tennis court at the front of the house. Please be aware however that it is a family court, not for professionnal players.
The 15-hectare grounds are lush, extensive and uplifting. Stroll along the paths to enjoy the peaceful outdoors, or play and run with the children.
Entre Loire et Vendée is a countryside rental surrounded by a few farms, and a few fragances can sometimes invite themselves to the front of the house. Nothing too strong, rest assured.
Please be aware of the ponds on the property which require children to be supervised.
Entre Loire et Vendée lies at a point where the Loire Valley becomes the Vendée, a much sought after area of western France where rural landscapes stretch out to the sandy beaches on the coast. Life here is slow, easy and relaxing.
A small village with a grocery shop is two kilometres away and the nearest town is ten kilometres away.
Entre Loire et Vendée can comfortably accommodate up to four families or four couples.

This area of France has a wonderful combination of town and country, land and sea. Visiting vineyards and days at the beach are just some of the ways to spend your day.
- Drive 50 kilometres north to visit the historic city of Nantes, with its castle, cathedral and narrow pedestrian streets. Nantes is also home to the Machines de l’Ile, which makes gigantic articulated puppets and machines that are often displayed all over the world. A great place to visit as a family!
- Visit the Muscadet vineyards south of Nantes, then stop off at the delightful village of Clisson. It’s a lovely place to visit, with Italian-style architecture similar to that of your villa, and 20 listed historical monuments. The Domaine de la Garenne Lemot estate is a listed building that has beautiful gardens, self-guided tours and an exhibition hall.
- Enjoy a day at a safari park at Planète Sauvage 30 kilometres from the villa. This 85-hectare park is the only one of its kind in France. It houses 1,100 animals and 120 species, and is mostly explored in a car, with some pedestrian zones. Guaranteed to be a hit with the kids!
- Head into Vendée for the Puy du Fou theme park. It has a medieval theme and spectacular live performances. It’s a bit of a drive (100 km) but absolutely worth it – it has been named Best Theme Park in the World on multiple occasions and attracts two million visitors each year.
- The Vendée vineyards are south of the villa and include the regional staples of Mareuil, Brem, Vix and Chantonnay, which produce a dry white wine like Muscadet. Vendée reds are increasingly making a name for themselves too – you’ll understand why once you’ve tasted them!
- Moving towards the coast, it’s easy to get to the beaches in the Loire-Atlantique and Vendée regions. You’re 40km from the Côte de Jade coastline and the seaside town of Pornic, with more popular resorts further along the coast. Head to Saint-Jean-de-Monts, Saint-Gilles-Croix-de-Vie or Les Sables d'Olonne for sandy beaches, beachfront promenades and excellent ice cream.
- Take a boat over to the island of Noirmoutier – it has a friendly atmosphere and rugged natural spaces.
- Make the most of the great outdoors and the region’s unique landscapes by hiking at the Brière nature park. It’s on the way to Saint-Nazaire, where the largest cruise ships are built. Other family attractions are the Escale Atlantique submarine base and the Espadon submarine.
