Château Paris Normandie is a chateau for rent halfway between Paris and the Normandy coast. The property was built in 1829 and stands proudly amid three hectares of grounds featuring exotic trees that were much sought-after during that period, cedars, sequoias and other redwoods. This large and elegant property is ideal for family gatherings or special occasions where family and friends can enjoy time together while each having their own privacy and space. Gracious tall pane windows let the light flood into the bright and spacious interior and present uplifting views of the manicured garden. Timber beams and floors are set off by soft hues and contemporary lines which give the property a cosy and inviting feel throughout, punctuated by luxury modern amenities bearing the hallmark of ornamental elegance. Guests will enjoy all the charm of the old with the indulgence of the new, as demonstrated by the jacuzzi housed in the Orangerie building.
The grounds are closed off for ultimate privacy and encompass a heated swimming pool, a table tennis table and a trampoline, to keep guests of all ages happy and entertained all day long. Lunch can be taken outside in the leafy shade of the trees and digested with a leisurely stroll around the garden. Whether you’re holidaying with family or friends, the enchanting setting makes the perfect backdrop for a holiday to remember.
Venturing out of the property, Normandy is on the doorstep just waiting to be discovered. A bike ride along the 43 kilometres greenway is a great place to start. The cycle route stretches from Evreux to Le Bec-Hellouin, a quaint little village with half-timbered houses and an 11th-century abbey.
Normandy is a region steeped in history with plenty of towns, monuments and sights to see – don’t miss Bizy for its castle (known as “Little Versailles"), Giverny for the Monet garden and the Impressionist museum, or Evreux to visit Notre-Dame cathedral and the Art, History and Archaeology museum. A little further afield, the Normandy coast boats postcard-perfect seaside resorts like Cabourg, Deauville and Honfleur, or head inland towards Paris to see the sights.
Golfers will love the 65-hectare 18-hole golf course just 6 kilometres down the road, while foodies are in for a treat at Le Jardin des Plumes, a Michelin-starred restaurant in Giverny which serves up creative cuisine in an art-deco setting.
This chateau can ideally accommodate four families with children or five couples.

July 2021 / One week stay : "Very good family gathering at Chateau Paris Normandie The park is very pleasant and the pool was well heated. The cook prepared some delicious meals for us, we highly recommend this service! Lovely excursions to Rouen and Giverny."

August 2020 / One week stay : "Chateau Paris Normandie" combines 19th-century grandeur (slightly faded but in a good way) with a welcoming feel that makes the visitor feel instantly at home. It is exquisitely located in spacious grounds, secluded from its neighbours by a wonderful collection of aged and rare trees that include a Giant Sequoia. It has all the features you could need, if a slightly unequal spread of bedrooms in terms of comfort and furnishings, topped by an excellent swimming pool ideal for children and adults alike. The owner could not have been more helpful either. The grounds are bathed in moonlight when said heavenly body is out; combined with the surrounding trees, you get the picture. We would go back tomorrow."
