Château Les Deux Tours is a beautiful château for rent in the Champagne region of France which combines the grandeur of a castle with the warmth and simplicity of a family home. Originally built in the 16th century and 18th centuries, it has all the character of a historic property with the comfort and luxury of discerning modern standards. Its turrets, moat and wisteria-clad facade set the scene for a romantic real-life fairy tale.
If you have ever dreamed of a vacation with family or friends in a friendly and pleasant place, this property is for you.
Château Les Deux Tours offers French art de vivre at its finest. This beautiful rental castle is conveniently in Champagne located just two hours’ drive from Paris, and makes the ultimate upscale getaway.
From the moment you cross the moat and pull up on the circular gravelled driveway, you know you’re somewhere special. With two turreted towers, a sloping slate roof, tall squared windows flanked by white shutters and wisteria-clad walls, this elegant residence is simply exquisite. Take a second to admire the historic building and its immaculately manicured lawn before stepping inside to commence your castle holiday.
Inside, original features have been preserved, with woodwork, parquet floors and fireplaces throughout, while outside the seven hectares of lawns and grounds include century-old trees, rivers, a lake, an orchard and a rose garden.
The ground floor of this elegant property is designed for relaxing and socialising in style. There are two lounges with two different atmospheres; a small, cosy lounge with a TV and a bridge table, or a larger lounge with plenty of plush seating and a fireplace, ideal for entertaining or curling up quietly on a comfortable couch with a good book. Meals can be taken in the dining room which can seat up to 15 guests, or more informally around the kitchen table . The design and layout of the property mean that guests can while away days and evenings together or separately, with plenty of room for everybody make themselves at home.
Guests will also enjoy the space of the private quarters. The chateau has eight bedrooms, many with en-suite bathrooms featuring vintage-style tap fittings and claw foot bathtubs. There are six bedrooms on the first floor and a further two on the second floor. Each bedroom has its own style, with chintz walls and fabrics, muted hues or light walls and wood panelling, and all are pleasant and welcoming.
The grounds of the chateau are equally as inviting. Enjoy long, lingering lunches in the French sunshine, stroll around all seven hectares of the exquisite gardens, take in the orchard, or meander over the moat to the walled pool area for a dip. The garden includes an impressive array of mature trees and delightful flowering plants . Younger guests and those in pursuit of something more lively are in for a treat, too; the property also has a tennis court, zip line, trampoline and archery equipment. Bicycles are also available at the property.
There is so much to do and take in at the chateau that you may be happy to settle in for the whole of your stay. However, should you choose to venture out, you’ll find rural Burgundy on the doorstep, with rolling hillsides, vineyards and historic buildings just waiting to be explored.

October 2024 / Two-week stay: "We spent 2 wonderful weeks at Chateau Les Deux Tours during the Rugby World Cup in France. We found it a perfect retreat: far enough away from the hustle and bustle of Paris but close enough to drive there on weekends to watch rugby games. It was close enough to Chablis and Reims to have comfortable day trip outings. Troyes and the small towns and villages nearby created a truly French experience with its history and beautiful countryside. We were made to feel very welcome by the owners of the Chateau and their housekeeper. They provided a wonderful meal on arrival and a wealth of information about the property and the region. They made strong recommendations for restaurants and the like in the area (which all were fantastic) and helped us make reservations. We had up to 8 adults in our party at one time and we were all comfortably housed with plenty of room, facilities and the like. The moat around the chateau even had a pair of otters to watch! We would highly recommend ChicVillas and especially Chateau Les Deux Tours."
