First of all, there’s the sea; between the Atlantic Ocean and the English Channel, swimmers and rock poolers can head to the beach opposite their luxury villa. Anglers will be happy too – pink and grey shrimps, clams and a host of crab varieties are there for the taking; you won’t get a fresher meal than that! Sailing is also big on the local agenda. Sailors and spectators will enjoy the many races that come in and out.

Of course, a holiday in Brittany is also about family time. As well as theme parks and aquariums, the local towns and villages are lovely to stroll around. And many are well worth a visit: Rochefort-en-Terre, with its illuminations; Carnac, with its ancient menhirs and dolmens; and Vannes, with its impressive city walls.
